Type Locality: Tindharia (Darjeeling, West Bengal, India)
Rare, known to be distributed in Darjeeling (West Bengal) and Sikkim (Captain, 2010).
The species inhabits in montane grasslands & lowland and montane moist forests (Captain, 2010). 


Conservation Status:

This species is listed as Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).

There is a decline in the distribution extent and quality of habitat for the species due to habitat loss, land conversion into agricultural field and monocrop plantation (Captain, 2010). In 1997, an assessment survey by BCPP CAMP had been done, further research is required (Captain, 2010).
