Type Locality: Anaimalai Hills (Western Ghats, Tamil Nadu, India)
Rare, known to be occurred in Western Ghats only (Srinivasulu et al., 2013).
This species is listed as Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).The species inhabits in semi-evergreen and evergreen hill forests. There is very little information available about the current population status of the species. Habitat fragmentation and land conversion into tea, coffee and rubber plantations are the major threats records for the species (Srinivasulu et al., 2013).
