Type Locality: Patinghe hills (Jeypore, Odisha)
Rare, endemic to Eastern Ghats, distribution recorded from Patinghe hills (Odisha) and Galikonda (Andhra Pradesh) (Srinivasulu et al., 2018).

Conservation Status:

 

This species is listed as Critically Endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).


The species inhabits in semi-evergreen high-altitude forests and coffee plantation, and can be observed in woods on top of hills and under rocks within its distribution range (Srinivasulu et al., 2018). Ecology and population of species are not well known yet. Deforestation and land conversion, grazing, fuel wood collection, bauxite mining and forest fires are major listed threats to the species and its habitat (Srinivaulu et al., 2018).
