Type Locality: Darjeeling (West Bengal)
Very Rare, known to be distributed in Northern West Bengal and Sikkim (Bohm and Richman, 2011).

The species is known to be found in subtropical broadleaf and coniferous forests (Bohm and Richman, 2011). Habitat degradation, expansion of agricultural land and NTFP & fuelwood production are major threats to the species (Bohm and Richman, 2011). Population monitoring and habitat assessment are needed for the species.
