Type Locality: Gund (North Kannada, Karnataka)
Common, known to be distributed in Karnataka (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).

The gecko can be found in rocky areas, near streams and culverts (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013). Areca nut plantations, collection of NTFP & fuelwood from forests are major threats to the species and reasons of habitat degradation as well (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).
