Type Locality: Madras Presidency
Common, known from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).

Conservation Status:

 

This species is listed as Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).


The species have been recorded from wet evergreen forests in Western Ghats (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013). Population status and threat related information are not much available; however, tourism related infrastructure developmental activities are known to be a factor, which declining the habitat quality of the species (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).
