Type Locality: Ponguinim (Canacona, Goa)
Rare, known to be distributed in Goa and Karnataka only (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).

This species is listed as Endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).

The species prefers moist deciduous forests, and precisely in rotting logs and stones, bark of tress and walls of human habitations (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013). Very little is known about the population status of the species, but anthropogenic activities such as building and road developments are major reasons to support the decline in the habitat quality of the species (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).
