This species is listed as Endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).
The species occurs in grasslands, scrub forests, hill ranges around Pune and Satara (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013). Urbanization and tourism related infrastructure developmental activities put negative pressure on the species and its habitats (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).
Type Locality: Katrajghat (Pune, Maharashtra)
Rare, known to be endemic to Pune region along with Stara district in Maharashtra (Srinivasulu and Srinivasulu, 2013).
